About this piece
A bronze statue of Dhanvantari, the physician of the gods in Hindu tradition and the figure Ayurveda names as its source. He stands on a low round base with four arms and a tall crown. The seller calls this a superfine casting, and the close photos show clear detail on the face and ornaments.
The statue is 15 cm (6 in) tall and weighs 320 g. It suits a home altar, a shelf or a clinic desk.
How it is used
Dhanvantari is remembered on Dhanteras, and many Ayurveda practitioners and families keep his image on a small altar or a clinic shelf.
